Sissco: History after Hobsbawm conference - postgraduate bursaries available
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
attached is information on our conference History after Hobsbawm (29 April 1 May 2014), which gathers together internationally renowned scholars (including Mark Mazower, Gareth Stedman Jones, Catherine Hall, Chris Wickham, Maxine Berg, Rana Mitter, Geoff Eley and many others) from a host of fields to discuss the trajectory of historical study in the wake of our late colleague Eric Hobsbawm.
I would be grateful if you could forward the attachment to all colleagues and doctoral students.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that thanks to the Birkbeck Institute of the Humanities, we have 40 postgraduate bursaries available, which will reduce the postgraduate conference fee to £50. These will be available via the conference website on a first-come first-served basis, from 1 December 2013.
The website (also referenced in the pdf) is here: http://www.bbk.ac.uk/history/about-us/events/history-after-hobsbawm
Yours sincerely,
John H Arnold
