Travel grants for younger Scholars (ICHRPI Sept. 25-28 2023)
Helen Maud Cam Travel Grants for younger Scholars to attend the Rome- Naples conference of ICHRPI/CIHAE 2023. Applications are invited for grants available to support younger scholars without permanent employment or other adequate financial subsidy to attend the 75th ICHRPI conference that will be held in Rome and Naples, Italy, 25-28 September 2023. The awards will consist of the conference fee, one year’s subscription to ICHRPI (which entitles members to a free copy of its journal Parliaments, Estates & Representation), and a contribution towards travel and hotel costs. Applications and enquiries should be sent to the selection panel convener, Dr Eva Jedruch (evajedruch@gmail.com). The deadline for submissions is 31st July 2023. Applicants should include: • an outline of their reasons for attending the conference and a copy of their proposal which has been accepted by the conference organizers (for this conference ICHRPI has a programme of accepted papers). Only applicants whose proposal has already been accepted will be considered for a travel grant. • their academic curriculum vitae • estimates of expected costs with supporting documentation for travel fares and accommodation • details of any other applications for funds and the results thereof • two confidential supporting letters sent directly by senior scholars The decision of the selection panel will be final. Please note that successful recipients of the Helen Maud Travel grants for 2023 are not eligible to reapply the following year. Applicants are strongly encouraged to offer their conference paper for publication either in any volume arising from the conference or in Parliaments, Estates & Representation.
